It’s so easy to get distracted these days.
Maybe you're trying to do your homework, but you keep checking your tablet or phone. Or maybe you sit down to read, and suddenly, you're watching videos instead. Does this sound like you?
The problem is that digital distractions are everywhere. They make it hard to finish tasks, pay attention, or even have time to relax without feeling rushed.
But don’t worry! There are simple solutions to help you focus and stay in control. Let’s explore how you can beat distractions and get things done!

1. Consider what you want to get done
Before you start using your phone or computer, decide what you need to do. This helps you stay on track.

2. Have a Dedicated Workspace
Keep a spot where you can focus. Keep your phone and other distractions away while you work.

3. Turn Off Notifications
Stop the constant dings and pings from your apps. Only allow important ones, like messages from family.

4. Work in Short Bursts
Try working for 25 minutes, then take a 5-minute break. This helps you stay focused without getting too tired.

5. Block Distracting Apps and Websites
Use apps or settings to block games, videos, or social media when you need to focus.

6. Take Breaks from Technology
Plan times to put your phone or tablet away. This gives your brain a rest.

7. Use “Do Not Disturb” Mode
Turn on this mode so your phone doesn’t bother you when you’re trying to concentrate. (This one is my personal favourite)

8. Clean Up Your Devices
Delete apps you don’t use and organize your emails so you’re not distracted by clutter.

9. Practice Mindfulness
Try taking deep breaths, meditate or sit quietly. To resist this urge to multitask or check your devices, this helps you stay calm and focused, even when you feel distracted.

10. Check How You Use Your Time
Think about how much time you spend on your phone or computer distracted and check your screen time. Think of ways to you can cut down.
